Title within ornamental border. Tailpiece; initials. Marginal notes Armorial book-plate of William Fuller Maitland Bound in half brown morocco Signatures: A-I⁴.
Copy of Ascham's Report (London, 1570) held by the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library at UCLA. The copy bears extensive contemporary manuscript annotations in secretary and italic scripts. Digitized as part of a pilot project to make the Clark's early annotated books more widely accessible.
The title page bears several manuscript inscriptions by a "William Yelverton," to whom the annotations in the volume presumably belong. Most of the manuscript notes are indexical in nature, and simply facilitate the text's navigability.
